Seeing loads of Sharptails this fall scouting for Mulies....I dont care for the meat so never do shoot them.

Went out opening day in Manitoba (Sep 8) and saw 4, got 2. All four were together in one group which is normal at this time of year. Didn't see any other groups but it was a warm day and still full foliage. Will have a better idea of how the population is over the next few week as leaves start to fall and temps cool down. Should be a decent year since we did not have a long wet spring and last year seemed pretty good.

In SE Ont I walked about 500 acres and saw one bird. Worse I've ever seen it.

My area of Northern BC seems to have fair numbers. I walked about 2 KM into a "moose" spot, and on the trip I put up
at least 8. Good size to them as well. They must have had a good summer. [ No Moose though, ] D.
