Anyone seen a SA m1a reciever anywhere?

Sorry for the thread hijack hopefully my #### won't fall off--again.

I have one of these unmarked polytechs with the old what looks like a bed liner painted usgi stock. It has no markings other than a 4 digit serial under the stock on the rcvr. What makes it more desirable/ valuable if you don't mind me asking. I've never been able to find out much about it.

It's pretty difficult to get an M1A receiver unless you find one in the EE or happen across someone parting out their rifle.
the last one I saw listed here was listed for 900 (?) iirc
Chinese receivers I've seen go for 150 to 250.00 , higher end for the rarer unmarked or early heel stamped polytech versions.
if I was willing to drop 900.00 for a semi auto only m14 type receiver...... I 'would' absolutely look to a forged unit and pay a few hundred more for an LRB M14SA , and if my end game was to have a scoped m14 type rifle , no need for the extra scope mount when there is an LRB M25
not sure if JRA is selling receivers only and not sure if there are any Smith Enterprise receivers coming up this way.....
Prophet River, irunguns and Armtac would be the three places I would start my quest to have a non Chinese receiver imported.
an add in the EE might get you somewhere as well.

The only reason guys "might" pay a higher value for an unmarked receiver is for custom purposes. Over the years lots of guys have sent such receivers out for detailing and custom engraving.
so to those looking for such a receiver, they are more desireable, simply because they are a blank slate as far as markings go.
