Back in the day, my buddies and I bought cases of that stuff. Fired off lots of it in bolt action 98's and 48's, plus good old Hakims. I still have lots of it, but it has deteriorated somewhat, so I mostly try it in a ratty M48. If it doesn't fire, I pull the bullet and re-use it and the powder in Boxer primed brass. The stuff stamped 52 and 53 misfire the most. 55 stamped stuff seems to pretty much all fire. The price I paid for it, it really doesn't matter, as the bullet and powder still have good value at today's cost.
Edit: I always called it Yugo ammo, but it may, indeed, be Czech. I have a supply of FNM 8x57, it is good ammo.
