looking to get started learning reloading, but need mentor to guide along..

of course i am buying my own brass/power/bullet

wouldn't mind paying for any reloaded ammo too if you are willing to sell and making a nice side income from weekly supply ,

ideally within vancouver bc area,

send me a pm if with your purposed time/cost

Reloaded ammo can't be sold privately unless they are lic to do so. Personally I won't trust buying reloaded ammo from any Joe Schmo.

I'm sure some of the local reloaders might be able to mentor you along or best yet, make some friends at the local range. Maybe they can show you how. It's not rocket science and if you follow the safety rules, you'll be fine.

It is illegal to sell reloaded ammo if you are not licensed. Also really stupid because the seller likely won't have liability insurance to cover your medical bills if the reloaded ammo blows your face off.

Reloading is easy. Get yourself a Lee book and do some reading. It's kinda fun making ammo.

One of the things about reloading is that you tailor a round for your specific rifle. If I were to make some "generic" ammo to use in an unknown rifle, it would not be the most accurate, thus leaving a lot on the table. I agree with Blastattack.......get a reloading manual, check on YouTube for instructional videos, talk to the reloaders at your local range. If you chose to start reloading for yourself, you will find it rewarding both in terms of performance as well as saving a few pennies (well, maybe quarters)

Get yourself copies of THE ABC's of reloading and a few reloading books like Lyman's, Hornady and Speer data books and read them over and over.

Best to buy a data book on the same type bullet(s) you will be reloading as well

"It's not rocket science and if you follow the safety rules......."

You sure about that? I'm pretty sure it is.

Just a heads up about Custom Reloading, in Maple Ridge. John is fantastic to deal with, and offers a great product, but he's a pistol loader. He doesn't roll rifle ammo.

Op, what part of town are you in, and what do you want to load?

Paul

I just bought some Centaure reloaded 9mm and 40s&w from Tradex Canada, seems to work fine and they offer free shipping on 1,000 round plus orders. I've also heard good things about Wolf Bullets that are sold sold by SFRC (have some .38spl on order)

Well if you look deeper into the background science of reloading ie burn rate, CUP pressures, barrel length, bullet weights etc. etc, then yes, it is rocket science. Following the basic safety rules/guidelines for reloading isn't.
