Dlask doesn't sell either of those things. No one in canada does that I am aware.
Adjustable gas "plugs" are only availlable from U.S.
Unitized or NM gas cylinders is the same deal although armtac might be able to help with SEI stuff.
Dlask has replacement oprods and they make an tension adjustable gas lock front sight
As for gas cylinder unitizing.... There's only one guy I know that has offered that service and done right every time ;)

Not to hijack but would the SEI gas block be the same specs a a USGI gas block and would it fit a Chinese barrel

Nope ;)
The vast majority of aftermarket products for a gas lock sight are made for the U.S. Barrel thread dimensions based on the USGI M14 drawings.
Chinese barrel threads are metric and not compatable with the above mentioned items.
That said it is possible to force thread a usgi or equiv castlenut or direct connect muzzle device like the SEI Vortex to chinese muzzle thread.
But the gas lock threads are no where near compatable.
Dlask Arms is currently the only manufacturer of a gas lock sight that fits chinese barrels.

What would be really really cool is if we could convince SEI to do a dedicated run of chinese threaded gas lock front sights....

Thanks

What about the detentions if you need a new gas block the hole pert will a Chinese piston fit a Amerasian block and vise versa

none of the US made or marketted gas cylinders and parts are compatable with chinese gas cylinders and parts
so chinese cylinder must use chinese gas plug and piston.
the gas band plates are obviously the same and in most cases a US spindle valve assembly can be fitted to a chinese cylinder and vice versa
gas locks and gas lock sights must match the barrel threads and it does not matter if the cylinder and it's parts are chinese or not.

so if you were a silly goose and wanted to blow some money on your norinco....

Dlask Norinco gas lock front sight
Springfield NM unitized gas cylinder + sadlak piston

thatd work, right?

Yes but the silly goose would also want a springfield gas plug and spindle valve set as well ;)

A decent upgrade I'd say

Thomas,

What's the difference between the GI and Norc gas piston, the diameter? Reason I ask is I have been using a Norc in my GI gas cylinder on my H+R parts/Norc receiver rifle without issue for a long time, I now have a US made (I think) commercial piston that I noticed does the tilt test about the same, though it is more polished. I have another GI system going on an all Norc gun and the Norc piston is staying in it as well, it has quite a bit more 'suction' when moving the piston and comes out with a vacuum type resistance, though it is free and doesn't bind and passes the tilt test, it is just much slower than the commercial piston in the other GI system.

in the past, in most cases, chinese pistons were generally known to be oversize and would be too tight in usgi spec cylinders...... this is still generally accepted as the rule.
however, a usgi cylinder that fails piston drop test with a good condition or new g.i. type piston , may just work great with a chinese piston.

it does seem random but i've heard from several guys that share your experience.
on the internet, giving advice, i try to stick to the accepted general rule that says they are not compatable...... but we all know that there are exceptions ;)
