From what I heard from a couple of suppliers is that many of the rifle powder are available but getting a fast pistol powder is still a wait.

I've been wanting to try N310 (IIRC) in the 45ACP since reading about it in a Dillon catalogue.

The latest news from Hodgdon is that they will be the new VitaVuori and Norma distributors for north america along with Winchester and IMR it looks like Hodgdon will become the biggest powder distributor in north america! I know that Higginson powders is already handling the Hodgdon and IMR powders it stands to reason that they will also be handling the rest. I think a phone call is in order:D

Click on the Rifle powder link to get to the handgun powder :D
I know it's weird, but their website is so discumbobulated... Their links are soooooooo mixed up.:D :D

Good luck looking through the "hay stack"

it is expensive since there is no distributor, if there is one, just a dealer. this is the gentleman I had the chance to talk.(Peter Dobson) peterdobson@ns.sympatico.ca I tried sending an email to Le Baron if they could import vhitavouri powders, Im interested in the N320, 3N37, N105. It would be a good idea we can collectively request them to do it. what do you think guys?

Are there any powders of their's that are really worth the extra coin? Someone mentioned needing it in the .45 Auto....we got some awesome groups using Tite group powder, better than one can shoot offhand. I just think that alot of times it is just hype, which is o.k. normally, but when you have to spend $40-50 for a pound I'll pass.

I wouldn't pay $40-50 for a pound either. I can get it now for $44 at wholesale...

Their powders are great for full house laods; and I like the idea of a 124gr @ 1250fps 9mm

Andrew Higginson told me that he'd ordered all types of the VV powders and expected them in 3 weeks. That conversation was May 14. He said they were coming in 4 or 8 pound jugs, and he wouldn't know which ones actually got shipped till they arrived.

Before that I'd heard from guys in the states that Hodgdon is going to be bringing them in in bulk, and packaging it for sale in 1lb containers. Eventually that should become available up here as well.

Matching or exceeding Hornady light mag speed in 444, gotta love it.

Awesome news! hopefuly his prices will be 'right'....

I just recieved 20 lbs of N310 with 16 lbs of N320 still on order. Its out there you just have to look
so...how much did you pay per lb and where did you find it? :D

...now which one of their pistol powders (N350, N340, 3N37) gives the largest muzzle flash? :)
