Just wondering if anyone is shooting 9x23? how do they like it? good sources for ammo and brass? is the 9x23 supercomp the same chamber as a 9mmLargo?
Thanks

I don't think it's attracted the popularity hoped for it. It seems most of the likely users stuck with .38 Super or went to the rimless super comp using the same chamber.

With the lower PF in open, I don't know if the thicker brass is as much of a selling point anymore.

Oh well, everyone thought the 10mm was dead in the water when the .40 came out, but it still chugs on.

9x23 and 9x21 were designed for people that aren't allowd to own 9mm Luger...

9X21 Yes - 9X23 No.

9X23 is just rimless 38 super with a beefed up internal case. It was designed to shoot higher pressures (IPSC 38 super style that is past SAMMI spec) and be lawyer-proof. IPSC competitors jumped on it because the rimless design meant less chance of a jam in feeding out of the mag (over a semi-rimmed super) Shortly thereafter this one's introduction, 38 super comp and 38 TJ came out and IPSC competitors went that way. (or stayed super)

The brass from Winchester was/is expensive and harder to find, plus it is only available pre-primed so hard to ship.

Like 9mm, it's tapered, so it requries more muscle to re-size on the press or a lot of spray case lube.

My father has a race gun done up in it. Brass lasts longer than super, but case capacity keeps you from running the bleeding edge of slow powder.

Everyone hates when he shoots it, if they accidentily mix it into thier super, it jams thier presses bad.
