Anyone shoot a Browning T-bolt?

Yup and be awwwfully awwwfully fussy on what you pick.
Check the trigger pull as they are stiff as I was when I was
pack'in serious woody.
I have puttered with mine and almost have it where I can
almost stand it.
That double mag is sweet.
They say it holds ten rounds, but they fib.
Nine it is, pound one in and reload to get the ten.
Siiiiiighhhhhh.
 
 
I have the new T-Bolt, the wood stocked, standard barrel version. Nice gun, decent walnut stock, very sleek and lightweight...good looking gun, nicely finished. Mags are a very cool design, and mine hold 10 rounds easily .Trigger is okay, nothing more. Cons? Mags are expensive, plastic triggerguard pisses me off, and the flimsy spring visible in the mag well concerns me, although it has caused no problems after about 3 bricks of ammo.

That spare mag storage in the butt of the synthetic stock is a nice feature. Does the gun come with the spare mag?
 
Had Jennings put in a better trigger spring , night and day difference.
Mags need a bit of help to get the first round in , then all is good
 
The plastic trigger guard is off-putting for a rifle that costs as much as a new T-Bolt does. I would rather find a nice example of one of the old Belgian ones if I really wanted a T-Bolt.
 
Numrich has both 5 and 10 round magazines for the original T-Bolts. Granted, the handling charge is spendy, but they have them.
 
I've tried a new 17hmr wood and a 22mag plastic quite a bit. Both awesome! Very accurate and easy to run. I'd recommend.
 
I have a heavy barrel varmint/target model I bought used off EE and it is by far my favorite gun. It was well used and beat up so I refinished the stock. A joy to shoot, and for me not picky about ammo as I have run alot of cheap ammo through it and gotten excellent results. Zero feeding or ejecting issues. I have mine dressed for the range with a 6-18x40 Nikon Buckmasters scope. I don't find the trigger heavy so I wonder if the previous owner did any work on it. I have 3 mags, all hold full 10rds and perform flawlessly. I've become a Browning guy, for good reason. They deliver, they work, and they are reliable. At the range at 50yds, ragged holes are do-able if I do my part. The gun is capable of better shooting than I am. I have a handful of shooting buddies that all proclaim it the nicest shooting .22 they have used, and thats a high praise from these guys.

 
I found a stainless laminated heavy barrel one at the local gun store. I bought it and put a leupold fixed 4 power scope on it. I shoots pretty well seems to prefer the CCI mini mags but shoots decent with all the ammo I tried in it. Im glad I bought it having lots of fun so far.
