Years ago, I had the pleasure to touch off two rounds from a .50-140 in just such a rifle. And boy what a rifle. The fellow who owned it told me he was on a waiting list for two years! If you have one, how long did it take you to get yours, and what cartridge was it chambered for? Pictures!!!

Shiloh still has a 2 year or so wait, C. Sharps wait is around 3 months, both make beautiful copies of the Sharps and both are in the same town in Montana. These are def. a cut above the italian copies and can get pretty pricey
depending on options. I use a 45/70 and a 50/90 regularly and both are my "go to" guns for serious hunting of large game.

I have had a 50 140 since 1982 and it took a month to get it, that is when they moved from Farmingdale to Montana
It has been a great gun

Mine is a Big Timber Shiloh made when they were collaborating with Christian Sharps in the early 80s.
Its a 45-120 LRE purchased at an estate sale in Chilliwack B.C. and at that time hadn't been fired more than 10 times due to the owner being in poor health. A very well made rifle and an awesome shooter...

Mine is the 1874 Shiloh 3 band military rifle in 45/70.Set up for hunting with a
steel checkered shotgun butt, double set trigggers, bone charcoal case hardening and an 1863 percussion sporter with 30 inch half octagon barrel, patchbox and pewter forend tip in 54cal

A Shiloh Sharps should be on alot of gun nuts bucket lists. I aquired mine in 1992 after waiting five years. Its for sale for $2950 plus shipping and is on "ruffbirds" post with pictures. Just put Shiloh Sharps in the search box to see the post. There is still a two year wait on these and their is no Canadian Dealer. There is only one registered in Ontario according to the RCMP website. There are lots of Pedersolis . Its a bit like having a Harley instead of a Japanese Bike.
