Anyone still install Cutts Compensators?

Do you already have one to be installed? If not, the answer is nobody in Canada can install one. If you already have one, I'm sure you can find someone with the necessary skills to install it.

Last one I had done professionally had to go to simmions.com in the US probally 12 years ago and it was not cheap but they will still do them today
Now that being said when I had access to the machine shop prior to the mines closing a good friend who was a machinest had no issue installing one on an old 870 barrel so that is what I would look at if you know anyone with similar access
Only problem if I recall correctly we had is these sleeves are not all the same meaning a 12ga is not universal fit and there is different size sleeves pending the barrel id.
If you want to give it a whirl this pretty much outlines the procedure
Starts on the top of page 325 with a small paragraph and goes then to 326,327 and a bit of 328 bit confusing on the initial page flow but you will see
Hope you have an adventerous machinest friend and the correct sleeve
Cheers

That's the part that concerns me and why I was hoping to find someone in Canada who could do it. I'm sure there's dusty boxes of sleeves sitting forgotten on shelves somewhere....I just don't know where

Thanks guys,

Cory

A good machinest can make it fit also, I don't remember it going on the barrel very far and a bit of machining and all was good. That is what he did to mine on the 870 if I recall correctly but was not paying enough attention really at the time
The ones laying around I would bet would be few since unless an old smith who knew what they were and labeled them others would have tossed them in the trash years ago
Hard enough finding cutts chokes now let alone an assembly new or used
Do you have any machinest Buds
