I've loaded my first 195 EOL test rounds, hoping to get to the range tomorrow. I'm testing in a 7wsm, 30" benchmark with an 8.5 twist...should be interesting.

Anyone else having a go with these?

Shot some the other day out of a 9 twist 7wsm and 9.5 twist 7-08. These things are slippery we were shooting in a 14mph wind and they were drifting less than half as much as a 105 amax was

Shawn,
A guy on AO has 500 for sale

That'd be me. Let me know if you need some. I imported a few extra boxes to offset import and shipping fees.

I was also the one shooting with Rob. It was actually my 9.5" twist 7WSM Kimber Montana and my 9" twist 7-08 Montana. They don't stabilize in my 9.5" twist 7-08 RAR.

They were starting loads. 2704 fps average from the 7WSM and 2412 from the 7-08. Pretty sure I can push to 2850+ from the 7WSM and 2500+ from the 7-08.

I screwed up and loaded brass from another 7wsm that I have, got to range and found they wouldn't chamber. Managed to get them resized without taking them apart....hopefully get time this weekend to try them.

Curious how you resized competed ammo? I thought that was a major no-no?

The chamber in my benchmark 7wsm was cut very small. Base diameter is .550 like the RUM cartridges, not .555 like a WSM. So they went through a 300 RUM FL die with the decap stem removed to reduce the base, then through a 300wsm FL die to bump the shoulder back. Checked runout after and they stayed straight...good to go.
