anyone think they would buy a Canadian made M14 chasis system?

upper rail doesn't get much of my attention, i dont like forward mounted stuff, will it be possible to leave the existing handguard?

I'm in the same boat. only think I could see myself doing is mounting a BUIS on the top rail, but I think a gas-lock front sight would look better with a chopped barrel.

The chassis target price is $350 but I reserve the right to set the price based on actual shipping costs. That said $350 should be doable. We tried to take the best parts of the Sage, Troy and Vltor systems to make the chassis versatile and accurate.

The Upper rail system target price will be in the same ballpark as the Chassis.

I think it's a great product at a competitive price

The upper rail will extend from the front all the way to the end of the receiver When you combine the Chasis and rail system you will be able to mimic AR layouts or a variety of whatever you like. The idea is to as much as possible allow the user to set up their rifle however they like.

I think it looks and sounds pretty sweet so far, it may get my attention over a JAE once I get around to building up my M14. For 0.5 lbs I would say stick with aluminum.

Heh heh, well, I just read the rest of the thread... . I'd try to marry innovative style with function and you'll have a winner. All I see right now is a the receiver group sitting in a block of aluminum anyone could have designed. Nothing special but its a start. You've got a lot of options with a mill. Get into design mode. You guys need to talk to an artist/professional for conceptualization.

Just thought I throw out a big thumbs up to Chris @ Canada Ammo. He has been hugely supportive of this project and helped a lot so far behind the scenes.

:D

Right now we're finalizing the prototype design and figuring out what is going to be the best way to manufacture etc etc. Once thats done it won't take long to get prototypes done. The upper rail system will likely be released first followed by the actual chassis. Don't forget before it gets released its gonna need to be tested.

I think you've got good potential on your hands if the chassis/upper rail system work as cohesively as the Troy MCS does, as well as apart.

I'm more concerned about the chassis... top rail does me no use. My wife is keen on both. I just want to be a tester :p

Chris has offered some very good market advice as well as some help with our polymer research. You won't find a book between these lines.
