in proper handgun techniques? This is a question for the British Columbia members.

I've been dipping my toe in and out of the handgun pool over the last year and now own two handguns. One is a Browning Hi-Power and the other is a S&W 586.

Rather than just going to a range and banging, i would actually like to learn about proper handgun safety and technique. Where and how did you guys learn about proper handgun training?

Anyone who has any experience with handgun training from either of these two companies,or any others, i would appreciate any input.
Thanks
Andre

Not from BC. I would highly recommend PPC training it is a blast and and very useful for proper pistol handling, drawing from a holster, shooting prone etc..
Two thumbs up!

My wife and I are new to handguns as well. We just took the "range user course" at POco, and wanted to try IPSC. ( We watched the championships last summer at PoCo-looks like fun). But, we were advised to try PPC first, as it apparently focuses on the techniques, holstering, handling etc.. Then, once we are proficient, they suggest trying IPSC.
Hope that helps.
