Saw the advertisment for 399 PSA 7'' complete upper from irunguns but didn't get to buy. However, Irunguns says more on the way.

So for those who are lucky to try the upper, what do you think? Any known issues? Do you need to change the buffer? And if you have used PSA products, are they good?

Thanks guys.

Ok, had mine to the range today. 7.62x39 7" complete upper, running on a factory Colt 6920 'M4' lower, fed by XCR 10-rd pistol mags. Ran about a hundred rounds through it with zero malfunctions. Very lightweight, recoil was quite manageable, and disappointingly non-blasty compared to my other 7" 7.62x39 guns (an XCR and a CSA Vz58, both of which are flamethrowers!)

Only negative - the keymod forend got quite hot after rapid fire. Going to add a vfg to it ASAP

What ammo were you using? I use the "Dominion Non-Corrosive FMJ" and get a blast of flame with every shot.

Norinco and Dominion. Still had muzzle flash, but nothing like the other two, both of which have obnoxious brakes on them. The flash suppressor was actually half-assedly effective on this one. Might have to swap it out for a loud, concussive brake - that's half the fun of a 7.62x39 shorty!

Haha that looks badass. the lower looks just like mine. I have a noob question, for your 762 upper, do you need to change the buffer? And I assume all you need is 7.62 mags and a upper to run 7.62 ammo right? (not to buy a new lower)

What buffer weight are you running? I just ordered the 7" 7.62x39 and I believe the exact same mags as your running. Ive never shot 7.62x39 but I currently have H,H1, and H2 buffers from my other AR15 rifle

What would you suggest I start with?

To answer you both - I'm using the factory Colt M4 5.56 buffer, whatever weight that is. I just pulled the Colt top end off, replaced it with the PSA upper, and it ran perfectly. And yes, it'a a 5.56 lower. Runs fine with Norinco and Dominion ammo from XCR mags.

If it's a 14.5 it'll be a carbine buffer, or an H buffer.

Probably a standard rifle carbine buffer

All of mine are easily identifiable without even removing them from the firearm, they are all stamped H, H1 or H2 right on the face of the buffer weight that is visible when you have the upper and lower split open.

Shouldnt be a big deal I'll start with H its the lightest one I have
