Just wondering if anyone bas tried the Mag3D.ca Tikka mags. If so, how is the reliability and quality? Great price, but I got stuck in my head that it is too good to be true.

I bought 4 that fit the Pre-81 Browning BLR . The feed lips were loose @ the front of 1.
One email to seller & he mailed me a replacement right away , no charge. It worked fine.
Certainly they are plastic @ a low price , so no comparison to original metal ones ,
but they are $200. to $300. when you can find them ? At lease the 3D are available & not exspensive.
Plus good warranty.

I just bought one for my T3X TACT A1. Haven't used it at the club yet, but it inserts and clicks in place without much movement and it releases and drops just fine. Obviously not as heavy as the original, but who cares - if it works I am happy with an 8 rounder for .308 @ $37.50 plus shipping over the OEM one at $189.99 + tax (almost $215.00)

Sounds promising!

Thinking of some for a 223 especially if the mag length allows longer than 2.260"

I purchased a .223 Tikka mag for my lite with factory bottom metal and it would misfeed one every mag full.
Never bothered to return it as it would have cost more to ship it then it was worth.

Meh... it was a sample of one, I don't get my panties in a bunch over one bad experience unlike those crazy haters over in the recent Ruger American thread! :ninja:

We wouldn't even be having this convo if it was an American ;) AI, AR or Rotary mags for way less than half the price of a Tikka mag lol

I happen to have gotten my Mag3Ds Tikka 223 CTRs out recently. When I first bought them, I thought they were defective. They wouldn't catch after putting it into the magwell. What I discovered was that the original metal CTR magazine -- you can put it in at any angle and it'll figure itself out. The Mag3D one requires having it flush when you put it in, otherwise it won't lock and will just fall out. Not an issue when you're carefully loading. May be an issue if speed matters. One of 16 also didn't feed for whatever reason.
