Anyone try a lar-15 mag in then t97?

I had a good 3 hours a the range today and had 3 FTFs with the LAR mags.
I can't recommend them.

The D&H mags were flawless.

I had the same issues with my LAR Mags. I had five rounds do the same as yours.

Mine are RRA grey LAR mags, two of the four tend to do this on the first round. If I keep the mag base pushed forward while chambering this does not happen. I have changed the followers in the mags to see if that helps but I haven't had time to try them out yet. If you strip the rifle down then insert a loaded mag you can see what happens and if a mag may be prone to this or not. Perhaps it would be worth modifying the feed ramp of the rifle a bit? Not sure if I want to do this yet.

The LAR mags seem to rock forward and back. When full the front lip of the mag is angled down it causes the round to be pushed forward directly into the feed ramp and pushes the round into the casing. With the bottom of the mag pushed forward, the round is elevated and hits the feed ramp at a better angle, ensuring proper feed.
