Anyone try Remington Magazine?

I can confirm that it is indeed a hollow metal tube.
I have one on my 870, the +3. It does the job, feeds smoothly. Only real issue is the nut comes loose at times - A fair bit cheaper than a lot of tube extensions on the market, I can't recall if I paid $30 or $40.

factory mag tube is junk, there is a reason most shotgun smiths have lots of take offs.
