Like title says. Looking at using some left over RL17 for the .308..
Will be pushing 165gr Interbonds. Looked on the Alliant powder page and velocity is right there with Varget with a max 50gr charge vs a 46gr dose of varget. Im not really looking for benchrest accuracy but would be nice lol. This is just more of a backup load for dads moose hunt incase he feels the 165gr Gameking are not enough bullet.. Am i waisting my time and money trying the RL17 and just go to Varget or Benchmark?

My sierra load proved to be a killer on deer last fall taking 2 Does over 100 yrds, With the results of Gameking on those 2 deer i feel 100% confident these 165gr GameKings are more than tough enough for moose. But were concerned about not making the perfect shot and not having enough bullet to punch through that tough shoulder.. Any real world experiances with the GK on moose?? All advise is much apprechated..
