Anyone try the Lee Inline Bullet Feeder Kit?

One of the best LEE has ever made. Forget about the finicky finger type bullet feeder, this inline bullet feeder is just perfect for any type of press. It comes with 2 sets of tubes, at least for 9mm. Feeding works like the case feeder tubes, with a gatling like action. However, it is not perfect. The mount that holds the gatling like base is a little loose. Maybe, it was the way they designed it. I am sure there will be hacks posted as more people starts using it.

Liked it so much I bought a second one. ;)

It seem the feeder tubes base is sort of supposed to fit loosely in the upright position. At worst, I'd 3D print a collar to tighten it up.
The weight of bullets helps to keep the magazine in place.

Thank you very much for your post, I have been following this thread thinking everyone was talking about the about the "finicky finger type bullet feeder" which I bought for my Loadmaster and to date have not been able to get it to work. QUESTION: Does anyone know if the Inline Bullet Feeder Kit will work with an older Loadmaster?

Thanks, Retreever

As long as there is space allowing the gatling mount, I am sure it will work. Otherwise, you will be limited to a single tube feeder. Thread size is standard for Lee and most brands, so it will fit.

What are you guys doing for crimp?
If I replace my seating die with the feeder die do I just use station 4 as a seating and crimp die?

I sold my Loadmaster and bought a Six Pack Pro (and bought the inline bullet feeder die at the same time). I never had issues that weren't insurmountable on the Loadmaster, but a 5-die press that is effectively a 4-die press because of the way the priming works is really annoying in the long run.

I have one on my 9mm Lee Six Pack setup and it works like a charm.

However, just a word of caution. Initially I had a problem with the bullets tipping as they moved from the bullet feed station to the bullet seat station. I contacted Lee and they suggested two upgrades:
1. replace the original index rod with the Soft Twist Index Rod (SKU: 91917). This makes the shell plate advance less 'jerky' so it reduces bullet tipping
2. replace the powder through expander die plug with their newer "M Style" plug. This creates less of a flare but more of a parallel expansion of the case.
Once I replaced these two items the bullet seater worked great.

Please note that if your dies and press are reasonably new (less than a year old) Lee may have already made these changes as there was talk that they were going to do these upgrades. You would have to check with them to see if that's the case.
