Hello!
Some of my friends do long distance shooting with heavy doses of Varget under heavy 190-208gr. bullets.
They frequently skirt the redline as their brass life shows.
When they try slower burning powder, they run out of room.
Now, there is a new kid on the block with IMR's 4451 Enduron.
A dense decoppering short-granuled powder with 10% nitroglycerine content and near-insensibility to temp changes!
I bought a can, just to see what it can do.
I had very good results with lightly compressed charges of IMR-4350 under 180 gr. Nosler Partition bullets for my hunting loads.
Very accurate and effective.
Since IMR-4451 is just a bit denser than the 4350 and rated at about the same burning speed, I think this could be a great powder for long barreled target rifles without beating up brass as much.

Has someone here already tried the newcomer?
PP. :)

What did you pay per pound? I was looking at some here but at $56 a pound I can get 4350 for 50. I would like to try it in the 30-06 though sounds like a really good powder
