Anyone use 300 gr cast in 45 Colt

Hey Ben, I have read a couple of your posts on GC bullets and the better accuracy that they provide at greater velocities. I'm relatively new to reloading cast bullets (not to new to reloading) and I do not cast my own. Right now all I can find is 250gr cowboy bullets that I don't push faster then 1000 fps. I wish I could find a good source here for them.

I am not allowed to promote any products on this site, regardless of their value or appropriateness to shooters/hunters, unless it is one of the sponsors above. Some others may chime in and recommend an outfit with a lifetime of cast bullet making/shooting/hunting, but I'm not allowed to do that.....Ben

I got my 340 gr WFN gas checked hard cast bullets from Ben Hunckak. Best quality cast bullets I have personally come across. I got them for my .454 Casull/ 45 Colt Puma 92. I haven't yet tried them in the 45 colt as so far I've only been reloading the .454 Casull. Not a doubt in my mind that they would be great big game killers in the .45 colt chambering out to 100 yards or so, and when I do get to reloading for the .45 colt they will be put to use. I carry a half dozen of these bullets, loaded to 1775 fps (over a load of H110 in .454 Casull) in my Puma 92 as my bear defense camp gun, and I'm fully confident in it.
