Anyone use 35 or 40gr Vmax in .223?

I have a Model 12 LPV in .223 on the way (1 in 9 twist) and was wondering if anyone had tried these bullets for accuracy and gopherability? I was going to rebarrel it to a 20 VarTarg but building a house has cost me more than I expected so I'll shelve that idea for a year and shoot it in .223 for now. I have some 52gr HPBT Match bullets here that I'll use up, but I want something that will give me the exploding gopher factor at 200-300 yards.

I use 40 gr V-Max for coyotes. No exit hole most of the time. I've used Hornady sp super explosive on coyotes and they are impressive, not sure if the V-Max can equal that or not.
