Anyone use a Micro rest froim Exact Shot

Howdy,

I was surfing the net and I found a rest called the Micro Rest by Exact Shot (http://w w w.xshot.us/micro-rest.html), I was considering using one of these instead of a rear sand bag, but I am not 100% sure. If anyone has an opinion I would love to hear it.
 
In the video he says it's good for shooting F Class. Now I may not be up on the latest ICFRA F Class rules, but I don't think it is legal for F Class.
 
Rule F2.3
An F/TR Class rifle is limited to .223 Remington or .308 Winchester calibre chambers or
their commercial metrification equivalents. Chamber dimensions must conform to SAAMI
or CIP dimensions. Ammunition may be commercially made or hand-loaded as defined in
Rule F2.24. There is no restriction on bullet weight. The F/TR rifle class is limited to the
use of an attached bipod and/or a sling as front supports, optionally together with a rear bag
none of which provide a positive mechanical means of returning the rifle to its precise point
of aim for the next shot . The overall weight must not exceed 8.25kg including all
attachments (such as, but not limited to, its sights and bipod, if any). NB: An ‘attachment’ is
defined as in Rule F2.2. All other Technical Rules apply.

Rule F2.16
The F/TR rifle bipod and rear bag may not provide a positive mechanical method for
returning the rifle to its point of aim for the previous shot. The rifle, bipod or rear rest may,
however, incorporate an integral mechanism for raising and lowering either the butt or foreend
provided that it does not contravene rule F2.3. above.

So one rule states bipod and rear bag. The other rule says a rear rest may incorporate an integral mechanism and long as it does not contravene rule F2.3.
One rule says it must be a bag, another rule says it may have a intergral mechanism. Unless the intergral mechanism is inside a bag one rule contravenes the other.

Any you guys thought TR had a lot of rules.
 
I am not as much worried about using it for F-Class; I was just looking at it for non-competitive use.

Anyone here actually use one and have an opinion?
 
The important part of the F class rules is " none of which provide a positive mechanical means of returning the rifle to its precise point of aim for the next shot" Bipods may have mechanical adjusters ( threaded rods like car jacks or whatever). They just can't return rifle to positive battery. Rear bag may have adjustments ( blocks of wood etc) they just can't return to battery. I assume a rear monopod is illegal if it rests on the ground as the butt stock may not rest on the ground. I guess if you place it on a sandbag if would be OK, I'm not sure if on a mat ( pretty close to ground).
