Like I said, our friendly component retailer in Caledonia has Alliant BE86 powder on sale for C$21.00 per pound. A truly fabulous price!
Primarily a pistol powder, BE86 appears to be much slower that almost every “fast” burning pistol powder, like Bullseye, WST, TiteGroup, 700X, RedDot & WW231, but does not appear on the Hodgdon 2019 Annual Reloading manual’s page 67 relative burn rate chart.
Faster than Unique, but closer to Power Pistol & Herco, BE86 is a conundrum. Anyone use it for standard pistols can get a real deal @ C$21.00 a pound.
