I bought the one Canadiantire sells, which is slightly different than pictured on their website. I joined an outdoor range recently and tried it out this week with my Winchester 9422. Tried it offhand at 50yrd and could only hit it about 1/3 of the time. It will help me to hone my skills, the markers are tiny at 50yrd. The only down side is the stickers were shot off pretty quick and it got real hard to see, I bought some bright orange paint and have re painted it, see how long that lasts.

I'm not sure if it's the same thing CanTire sells, but I use the Birchwood Casey resettable target for my .22LR. Four hanging targets that flip up and stay up when you hit them and a 5th one on top that resets them all.

They are great for offhand practice for both rifle and pistol. I like to set it at a distance that I can hit them about 75% of the time and work them from left to right and then right to left. As I get better, I move the target further away. It's kinda fun to work on shooting them quicker too. I've been meaning to build a little carrying case for it though so I don't have to put a lead splattered target in my carpetted trunk.

i have the birchwood casey one and i use blaze orange paint after, though i think maybe white may have been better because i find it abit hard to see where the shots landed still. mine also doesn't always set properly and often when i shoot the one on the end, the one on the other end will reset itself from the force. i'm thinking maybe the winchester one that was the same price would have been a better choice because its bulkier and probably heavier.

I bought one of the Birchwood Casey's when SIR / Cabellas had them on sale. Its a lot of fun for the $$$. I'm using flourescent orange spray paint on mine, but think it might be worth trying white. I've used stickers but they shred off pretty fast.

You'll probably like white paint better. That's what we use for silhouette matches on those targets. I use white on the same resettable target as the original poster is talking about. I get a piece of paper or cardboard to block the arm, so that just the diamond gets the paint.

I have the Canadian tire one too...

Stickers get shot off really fast too... every hit!

So I paint it... usually have to re-paint after every trip to the range.

They're great fun though
