Anyone using these cast bullets from the Bullet Barn?

How do you like them?

Do they have a wide meplat?

I'd like to load them up for bear buster loads for my Marlin 1895GS/

I just got some for mine but haven't had time to load 'em up. They do look wicked. I certainly wouldn't want to be a bear in front of the gun when it goes off. Meplat is about .300.

Mine werent gas checked so be careful of loading them. Ive had good accuracy with them. You may want to put some lube on them though.

They do make a GC version as well now.

Ive used the postell's in my highwall. Bit more umph in the recoil. Shoots well. I guess thats why people call them pumpkin thrower.

Lois at the Bullet Barn told me that aside from a slightly smaller meplat, crimping groove and the gas check, they are no different than the bevel based bullets of the same weight. That said, I'll probably spring for a box, just to work up a load for my Marlins.
