I just tryed it for the frist time and was really impressed it shot way more acurate in my Rigby Webley Pryse than Unique.
Im useing 45 long colt cases with the rims thined and loaded slightly compressed loads of pyrodex Verses 6.5 grs of unique.with 265 gr hollow based proper webley bullets
The pyrodex shot Way more acurate i could work up my Unique loads to 7 grs but the old gun tho tight as new i think will be better off with the pyrodex presure wise.
Im gona try the 250 keith type bullet next.
I didnt find the clean up to bad at all I was told oh dont use that stuff its messy, Took only a few minutes with hot water and it was clean! way less messy than Black Powder.

Anyone shoot pyrodex P in there Revolvers??

Used it for the first time on Sunday. 25 grains behind a 255gr RNFP cast out of my 45LC New Vaquero.
I was just playing around, so I really can't comment on accuracy. And I had heard horror stories about shooting any BP or substitute out of the new Vaqueros (tighter cylinder gap is supposed to gum up very easily), but I had no problems whatsoever. Wiped off the cylinder every dozen or so shots, but that's all. Cleaned up fairly easily too.
I have some 2F 777 that I'm going to try next time.

Killer, I want to try pyrodex as well, what was it like compared to smokeless, recoil, special effect , muzzle flash, I got the same gun:D
Frank

I was trying out 2 smokeless loads on Sunday - 5.0gr and 5.8gr of Titegroup. 5gr didn't kick at all, 5.8gr a little more. The pyrodex was somewhere in between. I didn't notice a whole lot of muzzle flash when I let a buddy try a few. Takes a second to see if you hit the target though - have to wait for the smoke to clear. :D
I'll still load up smokeless for her, but I think I'll probably shoot mostly BP out of her.
Levi, do you find the checkering on the grips bites into your hand under recoil? I hoping to get my hands on a set of smooth poly-ivory grips for her.

Claven, how easy is Triple7 to clean up?

Hey thanks, I dumped the OEM grips right off, and now have the mother of perl look grips on now(white), much better , the OEM's were small , and the gun felt un balanced, with the new ones, a much nicer fuller well balanced feel.

I tried it in my revolvers a couple of years ago, but I found that it really caked the face of the cylinder with crud. Worse than normal goex did, in fact. I gave up on it and went back to the real thing.

Ya mine didnt cake up at all nice Whomp some smoke I like the stuff and want to do alot more test shooting with it I got a 3 shot 3/4 inch group at 20 yards :D
The unique 6.5 gr in the 45 colt case the closest any two bullets came to each other was 2 inchs.

Im gona play with the pyrodex i like it! fast to load to no screwing around with a scale.

I buy it 10 lbs. at a time for my BPCR's, 577/450, 40/65,/ 577Snider, 45/70.

I have used it in my muzzle loading shotguns also, as well as my cartridge shotguns.

I have used P, RS and Select but found it leached out the day after I cleaned my guns, even used pyrodex easy clean and still had to clean twice. Tried clear shot as well, is harder that lead when it becomes fouling. I will stick with good old FFG and FFFG.
