Looking at the Oryx for my Savage .223 Hog Hunter bolt action, we bench shoot and use it on gophers.

Thoughts on the Oryx? Seems like a decent price point.

Thanks

My buddy runs his cz457 22wmr in one. Only issue is you'll probably need taller rings. Notice how the cheek pad is colinear with the action, even bottomed out.

MDT's "budget" one-piece chassis. QC isn't as strict as the other higher priced chassis because "it's an Oryx" but their customer support is fantastic if you do run into any problems. Also, not really modular like their other chassis, but if you're just looking for a simple upgrade they're great. Though to be honest, if you can afford the Oryx, you might as well just save a bit longer and spring for their other chassis; they're worth it.

I have one, really like it. I’ve only had a Bravo and an XRS before and I prefer the Oryx.
Its a little heavy but the ergos are great, its functionally awesome and relatively inexpensive.

Thanks for the replies, ordered one in green, here is a pic with a Hog Hunter action installed also ordered poly and metal magazines.:)

Told the wife it was for my Christmas.

Just don't want to get rid of my old Savage it is just so accurate. :)

Hopefully I can tighten up my groups when shooting outside, this was with Federal 75 grain at 119 yards off bipod and shooting table in slight wind (dime used for reference).
