Anyone use the newgen leatherwood scope mount?

I have it on my norc, and it is very nice. Installs easily, holds a zero better than the cheap b-square mounts and etc...

I sheared the screws holding the mount to the rail, but that was easily fixed by a buddy at the machine shop making me some more out of steel. I haven't had any other issues.

I'd recommend it.

Yes, you can no longer use the iron sights with the leatherwood mount.

That said, its a much more natural sightline than if it were above the iron sights.

The rifle is in a much more natural position for a good cheek weld with it mounted where the iron sights were. That is, after all, why they were put there.

I have put a few hundred rounds through since I installed it. During that time I have not had a single jam or issue of any sort. The only problem I had was that I sheared the two screws holding the rail to the mount (recoil vibration I think). After replacing them with a higher quality screw I have had no problems.

I can honestly recommend this mount, it has worked very well for me and is ROCK SOLID.

I bought mine direct from leatherwood. I had them ship it to my address in Minnesota (the company I work for has a warehouse there), then I went and picked it up to avoid a brokering fee.

They should be able to ship it directly to you though.
