Anyone used a Spectre for SR ?

Think I'm gonna buy an Elcan Spectre.Just wondering if anyone's used it for service rifle yet?I'm guessing you can use open gate on it?

It is a BDC crosshair reticel sort of like an acog. I've been asking around and you would either have to use the cross hair for the range or open gate it. It does not have the balistic cam like the regular elcan.

Closed gate on the Elcan means that you are using the built in balistic cam to make your range adjustments. Open gating where you disable the cam by leaving the zero adjustment gate open and move it to adjust for range insted using the cam.
