Does brownells pin mags?

I want to order some steel colt AR 9mm mags and mag puls

Anyone have any knowledge here don't want my order seized at the boarder

Brownells is pretty good about telling you what to fill out for export forms after you place your order. Import requires an import certificate from DFAIT if the CBSA gets nervous. Not hard to get, but it is a drag.

From what I've read on the Google, CA has similar magazine restrictions, so both being Merican, I imagine they pin/weld mags for buyers on the left coast, so they might for exports (if they have the requisite export license...ITAR...), just shoot them an email and you'll know.

I Use Brownell's service all the time which has a great customer service phone line and real time Chat service.

Brownells? Never heard of 'em. lol

They will not ship out mags with capacity larger than 10rnds. They do not pin mags as a service to customers.

the mags will need to be pinned to 5 first before they are allowed into Canada, unfortunately Brownell doesn't offer that service that I am aware of, secondly Magpul has an exclusive Canadian distribution agreement set up with someone else, Brownell doesn't want to violate agreement.

If you can't source them in Canada, check with IRUNGUNS. They will pin mags for the Canadian market and if you buy from them there is no extra charge for having them altered. Forget Brownells for any magazines that aren't for pistols that come from the factory with a capacity over 10 rounds.

I order from Brownells all the time. They do not pin mags. Order less than $100 and export paperwork is not required (you can do 10 orders, just do less than $100 each if you want to make life simple). I have heard this amount may be changing so take it with a grain....

Keep in mind, they do not necessarily understand Canadian law around magazines! A friend of mine recently ordered Ruger mags from them and they shipped him 20 round mags, unpinned. Obviously it was unlawful to be in possession of those mags. He had them pinned that evening. They were not seized at the border. Be careful with what you are doing....

Otherwise, they are an excellent company to deal with and have insane inventory.

Both of those items cant be exported. A) mags are not pinned to 5 prior entering Canadian soil. B)Brownells respects the Canadian distribution right of the importer as such, they will not export any Magpul products.

As far as regular export goes, if your order does not includes any major firearm component; ( barrels, receivers ),brass or bullets or any SME items; ( muzzle brake, flash suppressors) compensators are in a grey area, and the manufactures of said products has been registered with the DOS then the item(s) can be exported. Any non-regulated items/gun components can be exported to Canada with an order maximum of no more than $500USD.

I have ordered tons of magpul stuff from them when I can't find it in Canada and they have had no problems sending it to me

From what i gather is hit and miss on the magpul stuff. I know when i ordered magpuls stuff from them in 2013 and 2014, it was no problem. In 2015 i tried ordering a ACS stock and it was cancelled. Could depends on the flavor of the day i guess. Cause i was able to get a muzzle brake for an m14 from them. But a muzzle brake fr an AR was no go.

This is simply not true. I ordered a whack of Magpul stuff from them 2 weeks ago (not mags) and it was all duly shipped, arrived 2 days ago.

as I said in my 2nd post, it depends on the flavor of the day..usually, the common stuff ( stocks) they cancel them, some little pieces here and there ( mlok rails, mag covers) do slip through.
