Anyone used Nightforce velocity 1000 reticle yet.

well coming from NF, the scope itself will be good, that much we know, from what i can tell the Vel.1000 retical is pretty much a variant of the horus retical in its many forms. its esentially a fancy milldot. it saves alot of scope dialing and esentially eliminates any need for dialing wind what so ever. make sure you get it in a first focal plane (im not sure what NF offers it in)

some people find them to be to "cluttered" and hard to follow, but after a few outings that should no longer be a worry! took me a few hours to get used to that style of retical but now im not sure if i will ever buy a scope thats a "Standard" cross hair again! im anxiously awaiting my S&B with the H59 retical

We have sold several, so far most seem happy with them.
Personally I still do not believe in reticles or turrets that claim to be able to compensate for real time come ups.

I agree with Rick on this matter (and almost everything else). We inventory and sell these reticles but I feel the best way, is to sight in for the conditions (temp, elevation air density) and make your adjustments as you go. The reticles and turrets that allow compensation are never as precise as those you do in the field. Trigger time at the shooting location is still the best way of hitting what your shooting at. Phil.

I'd be interested to know what the holdover marks are equal to in either mils or moa. Then you could predict which holdover mark to use when your conditions change as well as have the option of dialing like usuall.
