Anyone using a 1-6/8.5/etc scope on a rimfire?

Very nice! That’s more or less what I’d be going for (although I think I’d grab a slightly longer barrel). Range trip yet?

Thanks, sighted in the PA 1-6x and with CCI Minimags it's sighted in at 50 yards, shooting 0.75" steady off the bench with the old stock. I couldn't get it into the Magpul at the range so I only had a chin weld. I have it in the Magpul now and I think I will need a slightly higher cheek rest for a perfect cheek weld.

The scope lines up fast with the low rings. The 100 yard ACSS drop reticle is dead on at 100 yards with Minimags.

With CCI Quiets and the Minimag 50 yard zero I had to hold on the 125 yard hatch to hit at POA at 50 yards.

I am going to put an MLOC sling stud on it and then go with an old school 1907 leather sling as I plan to off hand shoot this rifle a lot.

Quality does not require weight... to my mind the SMRS is a poor choice, but if that is what you want then go for it. I have a TUF22 in a Boyd's At-One Thumbhole stock and mounted a Leupold Mark AR Mod 1 4-12X40mm AO, it focuses down to 10 yards, has excellent glass with Mil-Dot fine reticle and still weighs only 14.9 oz... there are quality scopes that come in under 12 oz and allow for parallax adjustment... I have VX-2 3-9X33mm EFR and VX-2 4-12X40mm AO scopes on other Rimfire rifles, and they work well too at a lower weight. I just think that there are better options for a rimfire rifle... just my opinion.

The majority of my rifles have Leupold scopes and I like them. For my take down 10/22 I bought a Nikon 3-9 EFR and an impressed with the scope, especially for the price. The only take away is the 1 click = 1/4" at 50 yards for precision adjustment.

There is only one way to figure it out if you will have a parallax error, set the rifle down steady on a fixed surface, look through the scope at different distances and magnifications. Move your head back and forth if the crosshairs move as well thats parallax error. Figure out what distances and magnifications work for and your good. You may even be able to range find with it too!
