Does anyone have any first hand experience using Privi Partizan cartridges?

How do the bullets perform on game?

I was thinking of trying a box of Privi in 7x57 with 139 grain bullets in my Husqvarna.

A relative uses it in Hungary, in 8x57, for boar and stag. I used his rifle on a boar hunt and my brother on roe deer a few years ago. They seem to work just fine.

I've shot it in 6.5X55mm and a friend uses it in his husky 8mm. I've been told its quite a bit hotter than most North American ammo. Seemed to shoot well and I'm sure the soft point ammo would perform well on game.

Thanks Adrian,

That's what I need to know. My rifle is a 1950s commercially made modern rifle designed to take stronger loads than some 1890s 7x57 military rifles.
Lee Loader but I'd like to try some commercial ammo but not the weaker North American offerings.

I bought several boxes to shoot off in my 7mm 08 so I could use the brass for reloading and actually discovered they shot very well. I also suspect they may be loaded a tad hot as I cannot duplicate the velocities with my handloads. Sorry but no reports on game yet, stick to my handloads for that

Prvi partisans shoot better than the winchesters and remingtons I have tried in my husky 6.5x55. Very soon I will be trying hornady superformance and my old man swears by federal blue box (which I also would like to try). I can't say anything about on game performance. The statement that prvi's are loaded hot is not always true. Win, remi, and selier bellot-+-2550 fps. prvi-+-2600fps. federal blue box-+-2650 and hornady superformance-+-2735 fps. All advertised speeds, not chronoed.

I've used 7.62x39, 7.62x54R, and 8mm. I think its more accurate than standard North American commercial loads. I've hunted and dropped game with all of the mentioned loads in soft points. The brass is also decent for reloading. Its my opinion that dollar for dollar is the best ammo made.

I acquired some of this ammo for the 8x57.
Imagine my surprise to find the 196 [or 198, can't remeber which] grain
bullets clocking 2675 avg across the 'graph.

And....shooting right around 1¼ moa right out past 300 yards.

Then, I bought a 300 Win Mag from a local guy, who tossed into the deal
a couple of boxes of 180 grain PRVI ammo.

It shot 3 shots into 1" regularly at 100, but I shot no game with them, nor did I run any across the 'graph.
My take is that it is not bad ammo.
