Anyone wear shooting gloves ??

i've been shooting with a pair of oakleys for the past few months - it was a little difficult to get past the reduced dexterity, but overall it isnt a big deal

Try your local bow hunting/archery shop. I've got a pair that aren't too bad -camo with light elastic over the wrist and bit of rubber-like material in the palm and first two fingers for grip. Thin enough to provide some cover from the wind when hunting in the Fall, not too thick that you can't get your finger inside the trigger guard. Trigger feel is still pretty good.

Anyone wear shooting gloves, if so

- what make ?
- trigger finger cut off or left on ?

and what is the reason you wear them, heat from gun, sweaty palms or ??

tell me your problem and why gloves are the soloution.

I have screwed up hands, carpal tunnel and sometime's especially when cold I have no grip strength, so I want gloves to 1) keep hands warm in winter and 2) better grip when sweaty.

I use "Mechanics" gloves from Marks Work Warehouse (about $20) with fingers intact. Form fitting but just enough thickness to take the bite out without interfering with the feel for draw and fire from a holster. I shoot a Sig 9mm and a Kimber .45 with no problem. Some would say it's not necessary but I seldom shoot less than 300 rounds at a time so I find it useful.

I use Hatch Operator CQBs for shooting my Kalashnikov action, since it has lots of sharp edges (and hot parts if it's being shot correctly!) :p I found my shooting at TMSA TacRifle matches got better when I wasn't concerned about how much blood I was going to lose handling my AK-type quickly. I am looking for replacements however since they're not holding up too well. They're starting to fray in spots with only 15 or so shooting sesisons on them. Luckily I got them for way less than retail on fleabay.
