Been out of the loop for a while, but looking for a new scope possibly, and seems to be different a new stuff out there all the time, and a few never heard of before.

Think might get into shooting them little tiny 10x bullseyes at 25 more.

I want a for target gun main feature I need is Adj Obj to 20 yrds, I use Nikon Pro 5 3.5-14 and 4.5-18 but the AO goes down to 50, and sometimes shoot at 25 so guess looking for a dedicated rimfire scope.

Budget is as low as possible to get the job done lol say 500, for sure under 1k.

what do ya like?

the new Athlon Heras lineup offers scopes that cater to shorter distance parallax (inside 100yds). A new high mag target scope that is still under your max limit is the 15-60X56... this would make a fantastic paper punching scope.

the Helos BTR Gen2 offers a bunch of FFP options... also below your max budget.

If you have to lean on the low end of your price range, the Athlon Talos are very functional scopes.

PM or email if I can help with options Thanks

Jerry

I have a 6-18x44 Baraka. It's cheap but it works well. I have it on a 22lr and 22mag at one time and it was fine. Adjusts down to 5 yards. Not the greatest glass but it's useable.
I also have a fitco 8-32x56. It's surprisingly decent and the shipping cost more than the actual scope

If you want cheap and half decent, the old Japanese made Tasco 6-18x40 with AO aren't bad. Not the best glass in the world, but I've seen worse.
I had one for sale on the EE for a while but decided to keep it rather than give it away.
They show up for sale from time to time.
If you have issues, they're repairable at Trace for a reasonable cost.

Look on the EE for a used one. They’re usually a few for your price and under. Bausch&Lomb, Leupold and Weaver all make suitable candidates for your requirements. Good luck

Leupold make some decent rimfire scopes with variable objectives down to 20 yards if I recall - and well within your budget.

I have the VXII model - but I think it's been replaced with their Freedom line.

A Tasco 6-24x -50. Cheap but works well for the price. Only problem was with sun glare at higher settings. Solved by using a paper tube tape to the front of scope. I plan on buying a sunshade before too long. I have played with the AO at different yardage 25 to 200 m and it stays clear. $80 used

Speaking of Weaver, I have the 6-20 x 40 Weaver Grand Slam and this an excellent scope on my CZ 452 22 lr varmint rifle. The AO starts as low as 15 yards. I don't see these scopes for sale on EE very often and mine will not be added anytime soon.

I recently bought a Tasco Varmint 6-24 with A/O which I am very happy with. My goal was high magnification on paper at 50 yards on a rimfire and my budget was about $400. Thats really not a lot of money to play around with wanting high magnification. I looked through several higher priced models and found something I didn’t like. Did some reading about the Tasco and picked it up from Scopes and Ammo if they still have them for $150. I was very much expecting to be a little let down by it but a 24x it is reasonably bright and is very effective at rimfire distances it even has settable turrets. For the price I thought it s joke. I also have a 4-12 hawke airmax with a/o which I use on an air rifle. It is a very high quality optic for the money and adjusts down to 15 yards. I have also looked through their Vantage line and found them to be ver decent. Also keep an eye out for older Japanese bushnell optics. I use a 3-9 with A/O which which is very clear.

For newer scopes the Bushnell Prime and Engage series was rather promising. I looked at those too but wanted higher magnification.

I wish we could still buy these scopes. I have one with fine reticle and have been looking for another for years now.

This would be the most popular scope for our indoor rimfire matches

The reticle is designed for the typical target

I went with a vortex crossfire 2, vbrite reticle so I could see the center on the all black target.
It is probably less precise than the above choice.
