Aperture Sight on a Weaver Base?

Is there an aperture sight that mounts to the same bolt pattern as a rear Weaver mount or onto a Weaver mount?

I keep looking at the Husky M96 sporters in 9.3x57 on Tradex's site and thinking one would be perfect for a general purpose bush gun with a rear aperture sight. Since many of them are D&T'd for Weaver mounts, a sight that mounts on the Weaver mount or in its place would save me more D&Ting.

Does such a thing exist?

Thanks,
Mark

The NECG unit is really nice.

Solid steel and nicely sculpted edges.

Easy on and off the Weaver rail.

Windage and elevation are easy to set and it comes with two apertures.

I have two of them that I use for back up sights on scoped rifles.

I got mine from Brownell's. I highly recommend this sight, much better made than anything from Williams.

They also make a version of this sight that fits the CZ 550 dovetail, I might have to get one of those too.

There are also many receiver sights specifically made for the M/94/96/38. Check out auction sites for Söderin, Lyman 48M, Hooka sights. There was also a HVa-made jaktdiopter (hunting sight).

If you reaaly want to stay with Weaver type rail system, then I totally agree with the ones sold by NECG.

I am not hung up on the weaver mount, it is just that a decent number of them come that way. If I had to get one drilled and tapped from scratch I would probably go with a Lyman 48M (assuming I could find one).

Thanks to all for the info on the NECG sights, I will have a look at them.

Made one for my 9.3x57. I used an aluminum med. height scope ring bottom with the cradle ground off and then drilled a hole in the center of the base. I made a new front sight (leaving it quite high) and ground it down until the rifle regulated 2" high at 100yds. Works great !
