Hey, does anybody know a source up here in canada for a apex glock extractor for a gen4? I emailed apex already and they won't ship to canada.
What's wrong with the stock extractor?
+1. Show me a Glock stuffed with aftermarket parts that functions more reliably than stock.

Gen4's and the new gen3's are notorious for brass to the face and extraction issues once you get around the 1000 round mark. What's wrong with the stock extractor?
No.So you don't like the Glock MIM dipped extractor?![]()
Tried e-mailing brownell's about it with no reply. If their M&P extractor is anything to go by, Apex's extractor for the Glock will be an improvement - Apex doesn't do crappy aftermarket add-ons, parts like sears and extractors are machined from tool steel. If CTC doesn't or won't have it, order from Brownells - Apex is registered as an exporter.

You sir are lucky, can't stand my glock anymore. I don't even take it to the range when i go anymore. But i want to try this part before i throw the glock in the garbage.Keep hearing this from people on the interwebz but I have yet to see it irl. 4000+ rounds threw my G17 Gen4 and my face is just as pretty as ever.

Thanks, i just sent them an email.Dillon??
Yes it fails on a regular basis, out of a 10rnd mag maybe 3 will hit me in the face and the rest would either land on my arm or at my feet. Yes i bought it new and they only cover it for 1 year which has past, it sat locked up for 95% of the time because i didn't have full time work. I have been reading the glocktalk forum for the better part of last year and glock won't fix the problem they just blame it on the user by saying they are either limp wristing or weak ammo, i use cci blazer ammo in 115 and 124 grain. Alot of people have great success on the glocktalk forum fixing the problem by swapping out the crappy glock extractor for the apex one. I just want to try the apex extractor before i take my glock out to the range and use it as a target for my sks lol.Is your gun actually defective? Does it actually fail on a regular basis? Did you buy it new? How about contacting the dealer and asking about warranty? Or does it only jam on garbage reloads like most Glocks? Glock is the one gun you shouldn't have to put ANY parts in to make function. What is your failure rate? 1 in 100, 1 in 50, 1 in10? There are too many unanswered questions. People in the car and gun world love to just throw parts at stuff and hope it fixes the problem without actually diagnosing anything. But if its just the shells hitting you in the face is the only problem that really sucks.
Edit: just thought about it, did you try any different ammo? Sometimes hotter ammo will eject differently. I know S&B is pretty hot.
Wel obv this Apex extractor is hard to get so were asking what the problem is to hopefully figure out a solution. What are you thread de-rail police?
I have the up to date rsa and a gen3 rsa to try out, the right ejector and the #3 dipped extractor. I purchased the g17 in december of 2011 new.Which Glock do you have, G17 or G19? There were problems with the early Gen 4's but they are fixed with the replacement of 3 things.
1. RSA
2. Ejector
3. MIM dipped extractor
I thought about getting another stock extractor but figured why spend the money on a maybe when i can get the apex one hopefully, and the apex extractor is suppose to fix the problem. Might just see if i can find someone in the US and pay them to send one to me.Please don't throw it in the garbage. I'll take it.![]()
On a serious note why not a stock extractor replacement
