I see that Apex has a jig to help the DIY guy file their Apex Semi Drop In barrel mating surfaces, but it it completely necessary? Did you use the jig, or were you just careful with your file?
I'm not seeing any used Apex jigs floating around, so I'm assuming most folks made do without one?
