Apologies To The Optics Nazis

NcStar line of scopes is cheap and good. 4x is plenty for 100 yards.

I kinda like the range-finder aspect, even if I have to readily admit I don't quite have a good grasp of it yet...

Btw, and sorry if this is very much off topic, I finally mounted a Fakepoint on my 10/22 and....

it was very, very helpful....:)

Esp. when the front-sight from my Tech Sight fell off......:(

I have become very convinced that optics make the rifle. For a pure target rig, anything much less than 16X is useless, and 24 or 36X is better. Rimfire or centerfire makes little difference. For plinking and short range varmints, one can make do with a 4 or 6x glass, but to stint on optics is short-sighted, indeed. I like the Leupold 6.5 - 20 EFR for my accurate sporter rimfires. For the "real" bench rifles, a 36X Leupold resides on top. For less expensive 22 rimfires, scopes are chosen for their specific use and range. Regards, Eagleye.
