Apologies to Vince

Thank you. I already knew the answer. Just wanted a mod to say it. I suggest that this thread is pointed out to all the other mods. Actually, just a few specific mods who are "ban trigger happy".

Storm, not picking on you. However if you are allowed to rip into anyone on this board that is not a member, then we are all allowed to do the same and we all know that certain mods will ban or lock down a thread by someone for a lot less than what you said, about other people.

Just highlighting the inconsistancy around here once again. (not that you are inconsistent, but a few other mods are).

Since Vince was/is not a member of CGN the rule does not apply.

However...........it was still in bad taste hence this thread.

You are obviously confused my good man. As I thought I was quite clear. I only refuse to "go above and beyond" for people who have proven through previous actions that they are undeserving of such aid. To me it is hypocritical of the individual (not centering you out as you have never had any dealings with me in the past that have required "extra" work) to ask for "favours" or advice when they have proven that they are not a "friend". It helps to keep track of these issues. Maybe I just more such requests than most mods because I am so damned approachable.

My intent was to diffuse any ideas were people thought that I would take action against you when you had clearly done nothing wrong. THAT would be incorrect action by a mod and is something that I would vehemently protest against as I am certain you would.

I did not "rip" into anyone, if you will recall I had both negative and positive options in the survey showing balance.
The rules regarding "personal insults" are quite clear cut (although I would like some clarification should as I suggested Windy or Iggy join).
Locking down posts is somewhat different than what you suggested..........so who is the hypocryte now?

My questions are only directed to the banning/infracton issue. I do know the rule about this. The "going above and beyond" is not in the discussion from my end.

You are reading too much into my post. I only wanted to highlight a very specific point here. I don't know nor care who this Vince fellow is.

I never called or inferred youy are a hypocrite. Quite frankly, you are way off to point out that I am a hypocrite as well. Let me clarify: posts have been locked for less about comments made about other people. Infractions have been given out for less about comments made about other people and finally bans have occured for less about commentsd made about other people.

In reality I wasnt looking for you to get an infraction etc, I wanted to highlight the over all inconsistencies that OTHER mods make around here. You were just my soapbox on this one. I have no bone to pick with you. You are one of the better mods here.
 
Thanks (I think).

I do not know of anyone getting an infraction for posts that are against people who are not on this board.

Can you please direct me to one?
