Approaches to an AR rear stock to the 10/22?

I am just looking at the possibilities of adding the AR rear stock (pistol grip + adjustable butt) to the 10/22's wooden stock. Are there products out there, or some nice DIY tutorials, or simply finished product pictures?

Also does the modification to the rifle make it restricted?
