I have asked a few people in private message what they sold there's for and got nothing but smart a** answers ... Can someone please tell me what they run for now a day's please???? I'M also trying to locate one if you have any leads pm me

If you were the original owner they went for over $2000. Every time they changed hands they doubled in price and topped out at $10,000. I passed on one for $2200 and it come with only 3 mags, I wanted more mags.

And your still kicking yourself for it I bet haha. Funny how the smallstuff ruins a deal at the the time and you regret it later.

Yeah, the prices are pretty bizarre. I've seen asking prices over 10k but there's no way to know what they actually go for.

Wtf I ain't paying 10k for 2300.00 HK ...Any other suggestions on a smg ? Not famae either I know hidden details about them being that I owned one and have spoken directly to the manufacturer on them

You could buy a USC and convert it to an UMP clone.

CX4 storm?
9mm ar15?
9mm tavor?
Any one of the other pistol caliber carbines kicking around?

When I had the first run of famae .40 not the mini... I was searching for some parts for it.. Contacted Famae head office and spoke to them via a translator... I was told due to the priority of there military contracts it would be not plausible to obtain any parts... Contacted a Cgn importer basically he told me He cant get any parts and only can get what is given to him by famae unless orders are of high quantities... So when they break good luck getting anything to fix it ... So if you have one and you're bolt breaks you better hope who you bought it from can obtain that part while they have it If not you now own a paper weight if said part can't be repaired

I had a usc, did a herra arms ump conversion including 5/20 mags, short barrel and sold mine for approx 3k.... i would never pay more than that for one. I didn't really like it, and the quality wasnt all its hyped up to be. Originally i got the usc used for 1k out the door, it was a good deal.

You Could go on gunbroker and find a usc that's been converted to a ump clone, then get IRunguns to import it for you if your having trouble finding one in Canada. Aside from the other guns mentioned you could look into a 10.3" barrelled ps90, or cross your fingers and wait for the sig mpx to be approved.

Unless you are a huge HK fanboy, the UMP in 'civie legal' condition is totally underwhelming.
I've had them all...Famae when they first arrived....it got chopped on the basis of unobtanium parts, crappy trigger, s**ty plastic magazines.
What I liked about it was, that with the fixed stock, it was as close to a MP5 as I was going to get...apart from a memorable time on a ETF training day.
About 10 years ago, a handful of UMP's surfaced on the local Canadian market, and I scooped one in .45ACP...with 8 (Eight!) magazines.
Once again, for the money, the same 'meh' experience as I had done a couple of times with converted USC's with short barrels. Paid $6Kl...sold for the same..no loss/foul.
The only 'sub gun wanabees' that I currently own are a non-restricted Beretta Storm in 9MM, and a RRA AR, both of which provide 10 round magazines and 'cheap and cheerful' range and training time.
The FN P90S, with matching 5.7 pistol was fun, but at the end of the day, expensive and sometimes difficult to obtain ammunition sealed their fate.

That explanation from a manufacturer is really not unusual, military contracts always take priority.

What makes you think you (I take it you're a civilian) can get UMP parts from HK? I want what you're smoking!

Original UMP and not a conversion?

There are only a handful in country and no more will ever be available which makes the price huge. What caliber is the one you are looking at?

I have been looking for the 9mm one and expect it to be in the 7-10k range if it is ever for sale

I totally ment a UMC converted not the Actual UMP... I had no idea the UMP was actually available for Canadians I just assumed they were all some kind of UMC conversion..

UMP :puke: shot one, Terrible trigger, not very exciting. I'd take the Cx4 or Kriss over a UMP all day. I shot an NR Kriss Vector and was pleasantly surprised at how great the gun is. I'm saving up for the 9mm version.
