I would like to say thanks and congratulation to Alistar and (i cant remember his name) on putting on there first event. It is good to see new people stepping up in the sport. All in all i found it a very cold and wet match but the shooting was fun.
Now if we could only have trained the stats people to read ( pupet master trained) maybe screwups in score keeping wouldnt be so stupid.
If you match data says standard, your score cards say standard and your entry form says standard why would the stats person put you in open.
I know the final results are supposed to be checked by the shooter but this was over the top.
Anouther reason why i will never support anymore events put on by Poco fish and game.

good job guys and see you next week at TMSA, i wonder what division i will be in that weekend:bangHead:

That's a little harsh dude. Stats people are only human, and it is the shooters responsibility to verify. So the only person you should be mad at is yourself.
Big apology to Pats and Allistair for not making it today. I knew at 3am this morning I wasn't going to going anywhere. And I can't make next weekend at Thompson either. What a nice start to the year.....
Congrats to everyone involved for putting on the match, MDs are under appreciated.

Thanks slavex. to bad you couldnt make it.

DVC K I guess i should reverse the changes that i had just made to correct the problem, Your WELCOME from me for trying to put on a good match to 108 shooters and trying to learn all aspects of being a MD.
I'm sorry that I'm not as perfect as you. good thing you got to shoot my match and i had to sit on the side lines and watch as every one had fun shooting a sport that they enjoy. but yet i still had to run around and try to make every thing perfect for all.

and here you are #####ing about something that i had already changed and had informed IPSCBC and DVC1911 once he checks his email, and you would see the changes but i'm having trouble uploading the results. maybe a email would have been better then #####ing about it on CGN.

YOUR WELCOME, sorry it rained, you can blame that on me too if you want.

i was the only one in shorts, I WANTED SUN DAMIT.

EDIT: okay so i just seen some pictures and apparently i was not the only one in shorts and or the only one who wanted sun, it did seam like for a min the sun was going to break out.

It only rained in the morning, light showers really. I seem to remember the weather dude promising sun & 13 degrees. He lied, again. Thanks for the match Pats.

I for one had a great time. The rain was ... Well... Vancouver. The lunch break and two burgers was enough to get me warm again and I had a great time shooting in the afternoon. Even picked up some (unclassified) hardware for my first match. (only started shooting pistols a month ago.)

So I'd just like to say thanks to all involved for what must have been a ton of work. Looking forward to future matches.

Sorry Pat

To those that have once again misunderstood me i will say it in plain words.

Nice Job Pat and Alister, i enjoyed the match. I even enjoyed Ro ing in the rain.
Sorry that i didnt stay to check the results but i had a chance to go see my new puppy and it was of far more interst to me to see my kids and pups playing together.
I immediately sent you an email personally thanking you for dealing with it in such a quick and timely manner. I was impressed, my stats do mean alot to me.
Maybe if we had time in the match for a chrono this would have been checked but it was a full match and it probably would have slowed things down.

I was really choked and im sorry, this wasnt against either of the md's and i needed to vent.

I will not sign off gunnutz again and go back to my range and practice. That way i wont upset anymore people:ban:

all good DVC K , i understand the rain can make some cranky :)

I think in this case even CRONO would not catch this.

but maybe i will stick CRONO in between stage 3 and 4 so ppl have something to do in the bottle neck, at least we had covers for the rain :)

I hope to see you at more poco matches, not comming to poco matches just makes you miss out on more fun and as a MD its nice to have more RO'S around to fill the ranges, even if it is on a 9 round stage, sorry at least you didnt have to think to hard on it.

I'm glad that every one had fun, sorry for the rain, i'll call the weather network and complain tomorrow :) hope every one enjoyed the burgers and i'm sure there will be a aftershoot report going out thanking every one that needs the thanking. it takes many to put on matches, so dont forget to help MD's when you can.

Pat and Allistair graduated at least 5 new Black Badge students at their well run Qualifier. The RO's gave us NEWBIES helpful advice and kept us safe. Great event fellas. Many thanks. I'll post some video in the near future.

ah, cant wait for the videos, i honestly did'nt really get to see much shooting, i was running around to much,, and the rain did not help, i have seen a couple of videos but its always nice to see more..

glad you enjoyed it.

and yes the RO'S did a hell of a job. specialy with something like 22 new shooters

Congratulations !!!

That was a job well done Pat and Allstair !

It is very hard to MD a match and I was impressed that both of you stepped up the plate.

The rain stopped in the afternoon for some of us (me included) to shoot comfortably. I did enjoy the shoot and look forward to more matches.

I like the fact that we ended early, so early that I had time to help in the tear down. I didn't have to hurry home.

I only think that there should be a way to divide stage 3 into two ranges so that one stage does not have to wait for the other stage to finish shooting. That is one choke point we can do without. That is my only rant for the day.

Thank you again Pat and Allstair (did I spell his name right ?).

thanks, yes range 3 can be a problem, it was suppose to be ran seperate but unfortuantly it did not work out that way in the end.
and yes being a MD has lots of challenges, i have had some talk with DVC k about possibley getting some kind of course or information session for intrested MD's on the roll with ipscbc. but its just talk at the moment. there are always options, i can always give some pointers and there is lots of help between the club and ipscbc . i have helped with a few club matchs and i think that was our 2nd ipscbc match,, i highly recommmend doing a club match first.

I'm good with google sketchup and i'm always willing to help out and give some pointers with it. also i got a really good template with all kinds of targets and walls and props on it. i'm always willing to send that out to any one.

yes i was very happy with how fast the day went, for how many ppl there was it went well.

and NO, its spelled alastair. :) its on your match registation :)
