Only drooped once I assume lol

For a "boer" who's used to being the butt of jokes by the rest of the Commonwealth - I'd think you'd have enough common sense not to "french-bash". 99% of it is totally unfounded. the average Frenchie soldier is as brave as Canadian Soldiers are. It's not their fault their government sucks ass.

South Africa - where the men are men, the boys are boys, and the sheep are nervous...

Nice gun.

Some of the nicest mausers I've seen and handled are Yugos. The stocks seem "fatter", than other mausers and fit nicely in my hands, and the balance is good. I don't know what wood it is, but the grain can be very nice too.

Awesome ....

Brings back memories.... they issued me one of those, right after they took away our old Sten Guns. At least I was never in fear of dropping it when fully loaded, like I was with the Sten. :D

Yes she "Was" a Marstar Mauser.
I've always wanted to try the M48A and found an opportunity from another CGN'er to own one. Prior to this I've owned M24's, M24/47 and K98k but never a M48A. I am impressed thus far. However the bolt seems to be made of a lower density steel than the Gernman K98's. The weight difference is considerable IMHO which makes for a very different feel yet still satisfactory.

I will be writing a primer on BLO applications soon. It will be posted on Riflechair links
Stay Tuned.

I love that muffler pipe, Klunk. Nice one!

My latest acquisition is nothing worthy of hooting and hollering, but I like it... it's an S&W Model .17:

That SMC was quite quite accurate though......was one weapon that we had to be familiar with even long after the AK47 variant (Chinese) became the standard infantry issue back then.

no pics now but a MAS 36. Manufactured 1945(at least the barrel was)
she might be one ugly french girl, but someones got to love her :D

First Carcano - a 1891/41, made in Cremona in 1942. Respectable condition, having been refurbished at one time, with a shootable bore. Looking foreward to shooting it.
