Aqua Fortis - Nitric Acid

[maple leaf]

I just finished reading The Gunsmith's Manual which is a reprint of an 1883 book by the same name. In it they described a few projects using nitric acid. I would like to recreate some of this, and wondered if anyone on here had possible sources in Canada, specifically Ontario for Nitric Acid? Any help is appreciated.

You might want to read this first. Nitric acid is a compound used in formulating explosives, and is regulated at concentrations that would be useful in your situation.

The compounds you desire to make will also fall under these rules,

Enjoy!

Chemical supply houses.

Expect to have to provide ID.
And pay through the arse for Hazmat fees.

If you know a teacher at a school with a chem lab, you may be able to piggyback an order with theirs.
