Geissele SSA-E trigger groups in all(6).
 
Pre OIC I had my eyes on a Stag 10, maybe a 24" bbl in 6.5CM.

Now there is better stuff on the market. I would have to start my research over.

Best friend had the first round of BCL 102s back in the day (that was delayed for several months.It was a steaming pile of crap. Terrible fitment and finish. he listed it on EE without even shooting it.... couple years later I bought a Troy 102 used and it functioned Ok and fit and finish was better than BCL.... really both are half measures. Would probably be better to pony up the dough and go STAG 10

The late BCL102 with the new gas rings/extractor and ejector kit were ok. Even shot steel cased ammo reliable, accuracy was decent. I liked the design. WhatvI didn’t like was that it wasn’t 7075, wasn’t anodized and was cerekoted only, oh and the trigger sucked. Pars cord trick helped buy it was still not good.

Stag 10. Excellent. Triggers wee even good. I built mine rather than as a whole rifle. 20” criterion nitride barrel 1:11.25 twist. Very accurate. 7075 anodized. Nice standard AR308 design. Single handed made the other non restricted AR308 rifles obsolete.

For restricted I’m a huge fan of ghe LMT MRP with a 20” Mike rock barrel. The system is great, high end, excellent trigger and cool quick change barrel system. Better value than the SR25. Although the kac stuff is really nice.

The dpms gen2. It’s pretty good. Just buy non dpms mags for it. Neat AR15 size format only in 308. It’s a huge departure from their regular LR308 which is Hobby target grade only.

If just plinking or carbine style shooting, look at the Tavor 7. Currently non restricted. At least until the Liberals need to distract from their latest embarrassments, like inviting and praising a former SS soldier in parliament 😬. Oops!
 
Should add that if this Liberal crud gets reversed, the Colt Canada C20 is on my list of AR308 rifles I would want to add.

Trust me you missed nothing by not owning a BCL102. The early ones were HOT GARBAGE. Lot of QaQc issues. They took some proprietary parts and used a not so common Armalite barrel nut / handguard. They did get a bit better with time, but still were not a quality product.

The BCL102 became completely pointless once the nice Stag 10 receiver sets / complete Stag 10 rifles became available. Everything about the stag 10's was better than a BCL102.
 
I would go with something like an LMT built like a Mk12, no reason other than I want to.

Would probably go with an 18.5 barrel, not sure what make.

Or maybe a 10.5" xm177 style just for schutz and I'm an idiot. Either would be in .308. No interest in Creedmoor, I have too much Chinese fmj to try any other calibers.
