AR-10 AR-15 Interchangability

I thought he meant barrel swapping. Can you swap a AR10 with AR15 barrel... good question. The bolt would also need to be swapped. The magazines would need to be custom jobbies-modified - It's cheaper/easier probably to just buy both :)

Short answer; no.

Longer answer:

The gas tube is at a different height (radius). For this reason AR10 and AR15 Free-floated furniture is NOT interchangeable.

Most people will tell you the following:

1) If it's made for an AR-15, only use it on an AR-15.
2) If it's made for an AR-10, only use it on an AR-10.
3) Different manufacturers have different ideas when it comes to interpreting the specs. This is even more evident on the AR-10.

The industry has standardized on a barrel nut thread for the ar-15, but from what I understand, the ar-10 is still open to some amount of debate:
