ar-10 or ar-180b

You are certainly allowed to acquire one, since you hold a PAL for restricted class. It seems a pretty simple choice: which is more important to you - getting the .308 or getting the one that you can use in places other than an approved range?

To continue to flog a dead horse, these units are apples and oranges...
Restricted, harder hitting, range use only Ar-10 vs the non-restricted, softer
shooting, 'go anywhere' Ar-180B....
I have owned both, and currently own neither... I have personally found
alternatives to both that offer the same attributes, in 'packages' that are more
reliable, pleasing, accurate and fun to shoot...
Maybe you need to buy both, as they as different to own and operate as a
revolver and a semi-auto....

Foxbat,
What was the alternative package that you found to the AR180b? Just curious since I was considering an AR180b. Thanks.

Alternatives.. one cheap and cheerful... Norc M14 ( for the Ar-10) inexpensive
accurate, fun to shoot...use as is, or upgrade/change to your heart's content.
One more expensive...Black Special (for the Ar108B)... same 'clean' gas
system, accurate, great trigger...a classic.
I can't knock the AR10 or AR108b enough to tell someone to avoid them
completely, but if possible, try one first before buying.

Glad to hear that, I just ordered an M305 Norinco last week :) ,
but I'd still like to have a 180B. Good point to try and test shoot one. I'll see if I can find someone on the range that would let me handle it or get a few rounds off.
THanks
