Hello all:

Is the AR-10 restricted or not restricted? It seems to me that it should be non-restricted as it was not derived from the M-16.

Does anyone know for sure?

Very early, very rare ones, which are not select-fire are non-restricted.

All modern ones are restricted.

Modern AR10 rifles are based off of the AR15, not the original. The trigger mechs for example are taken from the AR15, not the old Stoner designed Armalite AR10 which used different components.
